Our Methodology
Burnout doesn’t go away with a weekend off (sorry). Nor will it go away with a nature walk or a couple of yoga classes. Real recovery takes a clear process that gets underneath the surface and rebuilds you from the inside out.
This is how we work together.
What to Expect
-
Name it to Tame It
We start by naming the truth. Where is burnout showing up for you? Is it the exhaustion you can’t sleep away, the resentment that creeps in at work, or the numbness that makes everything feel pointless?
We map what burnout is costing you and identify the patterns that keep fueling it.
-
Reset
This stage is about creating breathing room right away. We strip out what is draining you most, set boundaries and teach you how to hold them, and get you some quick relief so you have the capacity to do the deeper work. The goal here is building some scaffolding around you so you reclaim some energy for working through burnout.
-
Rebuild
Once we’ve got some scaffolding built and space for you to breathe, we start to build something sustainable. Together we reset habits, design systems that support you, and continue strengthening your boundaries so you keep them in place. This is where stamina REALLY comes back and clarity returns.
-
Maintain
The hardest part is not clawing out of the hole, it’s staying out of it. Maintenance is critical to your long-term success. We close with relapse prevention, practical tools for the long haul, and ongoing support so you don’t slide back into old patterns.
You leave with a clear plan and the skills to protect your energy for the long term.
Why This Works
Most advice about burnout is surface level. Take a walk, download a meditation app, block your calendar. None of that holds when the pressure ramps back up.
This method works because it goes deeper. We address the systems and habits that broke you, and we rebuild them into ones that keep you whole.
And here’s the difference: we don’t force you into a rigid program or timeline. Recovery is not one-size-fits-all. Some people need twelve weeks of steady work, others need bursts of deep focus and space in between. Our process adapts to you. The pace, the tools, and the style are built around your reality.
Your recovery is your own. Our job is to guide it thoughtfully, with the honesty and flexibility it deserves.
FAQs
-
Burnout recovery coaching is a structured, supportive process where we get underneath what’s draining you and rebuild in a way that lasts. Together we identify what’s fueling your exhaustion, reset your boundaries, rebuild your stamina, and put tools in place so you don’t slide back.
It’s not therapy or medical treatment. Coaching is practical and forward-looking. It’s about creating space, clarity, and sustainable energy so you can live and work without breaking yourself.
-
Therapy often addresses mental health conditions and deep emotional processing. Coaching is focused on action, structure, and systems that support your recovery.
If you’re dealing with clinical depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts, a licensed therapist or healthcare provider is the right next step. If you’re drowning in exhaustion, overwork, and patterns that keep burning you out, coaching can help.
-
I work with professionals, leaders, and teams who are burned out or close to it. Most of my clients are high-performers who got where they are by pushing hard, but now their old approach has stopped working.
If you’re tired of patching over the cracks and ready for real recovery, you’re in the right place.
-
Some common signs:
You wake up exhausted no matter how much you sleep.
Or, conversely, you’re not sleeping much at all.
You’re resentful, short-tempered, or checked out at work.
You feel numb even when good things happen.
You wake up every morning and stare at the ceiling, considering if you have enough runway to quit
You don’t recognize yourself anymore.
If that feels familiar, you may be experiencing burnout.
-
I use a four-part method: name it, reset, rebuild, maintain. That means we name what’s happening, create immediate breathing room, build new systems and shore up your boundaries, and set you up with tools to keep it going.
Unlike most programs, I don’t force you into a rigid timeline or style. Everyone’s recovery looks different, and the process adapts to you.
-
Some people feel relief after the first session. For others, it takes a few weeks to notice the difference. Deep recovery usually takes months, not days. I’m sorry to all the overachievers who want it to take 72 hours max, I feel your pain.
This isn’t a quick fix, but it’s also not endless. We move at the pace that gets you real, lasting change.
-
If you feel like you don’t have time, that’s usually the clearest sign you need this. Coaching isn’t one more thing on your plate. It’s the work of clearing the noise and building back the space you’ve lost.
-
YES. Everything we discuss stays between us. Confidentiality is non-negotiable. Everything you say to me sticks with us, and at the end of our engagement, I burn all my notes.
-
Both. I work one-on-one with professionals and leaders, and I also design workshops and talks for teams and organizations who want to prevent burnout at scale.
-
We’ll talk through what fits best during your clarity call.
-
That’s not a problem. Start with a free 15-minute clarity call. There’s no obligation, and you’ll walk away with something useful even if we don’t work together. At the very least, you got a 15 minute break, so that’s probably pretty nice. :)
-
Possibly! Many companies cover coaching as professional development or wellness support. If that’s available to you and you want to use that resource, let’s chat about it during our 15 minute call to get that figured out.
