Monitoring.

Someone watching your email reputation before the next fire starts. You get a heads-up before your CEO forwards you a screenshot from their spam folder.

When this makes sense.

Monitoring is the follow-on to a rescue and the standing-in for a deliverability hire you haven't made yet.

After a rescue

You just got out of the fire.

A delisting resets the clock. The behaviors that got you listed will drift again if nobody is watching. Monitoring is how you catch the drift at week 3 instead of week 12.

No one in-house

You don't have a deliverability person.

You're an SMB, a startup, or a lean team. Email's important to the business but it isn't anyone's full-time job. You want senior deliverability eyes on the program without hiring for them.

Your deliv person needs backup

One person watching alone is how blind spots develop.

Your deliverability lead is doing good work and drowning in it. I sit alongside them, read the signals they're too close to see, and give them someone senior to escalate to when something gets weird.

What's in it.

One monthly retainer, scoped to the shape of your program. The standard scope covers the signals that move the needle.

  • 01

    Blocklist watch

Daily checks against Spamhaus (SBL, CSS, DBL, XBL), Spamcop, and the other blocklists that actually move your mail. You hear from me the day a listing happens, not the week your open rates tank.

  • 02

    Mailbox provider signals

Weekly read of Gmail Postmaster Tools and Microsoft SNDS. Reputation drift, spam rate changes, and authentication complaints surface before they turn into bulk-folder routing.

  • 03

A monthly readout you can actually use

Plain language. What changed, what matters, what to do about it. Written for someone whose day job isn't deliverability. Shareable with your CEO without a glossary.

I'm there when something looks off

When a signal spikes, you get a note, not a dashboard alert that joins the pile. If it needs a conversation, we have one.

I've done this before.

Let's scope it to your program.

In 15 minutes, we can walk through what you're sending, what you're watching today, and what the monthly readout should cover.

Skyler Holobach

I'm Skyler Holobach.

I spent 7 years at Salesforce building compliance and trust infrastructure for one of the largest email senders in the world. During that stretch, I was the escalation point for ISP abuse desks and Spamhaus, which means I have spent years working the exact conversations your ESP is now trying to have on your behalf.

I speak at M3AAWG and Unspam, I sit on the board of Women of Email, and I have written the remediation cases that get senders unlisted. Threadsmith Group is where I bring that work directly to companies whose email programs have gone sideways.

When your program is broken and the clock is running, I'm the person you want reading the headers, writing the remediation case, and translating between your team and your ESP's compliance desk.

A ground rule.

I don't work with cold outreach platforms or any product whose revenue model depends on sending unsolicited email. I've spent years cleaning up the mess those platforms make for every honest sender who shares an IP neighborhood with them. I'm not going to help build another one.
